Reno 911: Miami

There's really very little kind one can say about Reno 911: Miami. I have enjoyed the TV show immensely, laughed out loud many times and have preached about its comedy genius to others. I was looking forward to the big-screen adaptation, knowing there'd be some comedy gold within.

Reno 911: Miami is a real stinker. There is a laugh or two, but they can't salvage what's really a bizarrely annoying 90 or so minutes. It's a loose collection of scenes, some funny, most not, with less cohesion between one minute to the next, than the retarded pasting to together of scenes we've endured from the likes of Epic Movie or Date Movie.

It fell down the worst when it tried to develop some idiotic plot about a drug lord on a boat (what? I don't care to fully remember what was happening there). That plot did have one decent gag about a coked-out FBI agent. There were about 20 people at the start of screening (I assume we all paid) and there were 5 of us at the end. I actually congratulated the couple in front of my friend and I for making it through to the end. Brave of them.
